Mulberry Silk
Mulberry silk is a luxurious and highly sought-after type of silk that is known for its exceptional quality and softness. It is produced by the silkworm species Bombyx mori, which exclusively feeds on the leaves of the mulberry tree. Additionally, mulberry silk has the ability to absorb dyes vividly, resulting in vibrant and long-lasting colors.
Mulberry silk is widely regarded as the highest quality silk available due to the meticulous cultivation, harvesting, and processing methods involved. Its superior attributes make it a favorite choice for creating high-end, luxurious products, such as silk garments, bed sheets, pillowcases, scarves, and other exquisite textiles.
In conclusion, mulberry silk stands as a symbol of luxury and elegance, cherished for its unparalleled softness, sheen, and comfort. Its rich history and exceptional qualities continue to make it a prized material in the world of fashion and textiles.

Noil Silk
Noil silk is the fabric made using the shorter fibres that are leftover from the manufacture of other silk fabrics. Rather than a continuous length of silk, these short fibres are used for noil silk, which has a slightly rough texture. Generally, it lacks the sheen of other silk fabrics, however it is stronger and has a better handle than cotton. It tends to have better texture and depth than cotton – and gives a nice fall and drape.

Matka Silk
Matka silk characterised by its uneven texture is also made by hand-spinning fibres extracted from broken cocoons.
The silk fibre process of the cocoon to silk fabric is cruelty-free as the silk moths are allowed to hatch. Being made from several broken short yarns, Matka fabric has uneven texture and irregularities due to slub, also has less shine than conventional silk but still possesses a very elegant subtle lustre. Its texture reassembles a tweed cloth. Although the fabric of Matka Silk is thick, it is very light and airy.
